SAMI Programme Manager

Zoleka Ncgete

 

 

Zoleka Ngcete is the Programme Manager of SAMI. She joined SAMI in November 2006 as a Project Coordinator, while it was hosted by the University of Pretoria. Her responsibilities include contribution to the development of the research strategy, project management, local and international networking and relationship management, as well as communications.

Prior to joining SAMI Zoleka was involved in the National Drug Development Programme, which was funded by The Innovation Fund, and assisted in coordinating the TB component on the programme. She was also responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a University of Cape Town student working on a project aimed at identifying novel anti-tuberculosis natural and synthetic compounds.

Zoleka holds an MSc in Biotechnology from Rhodes University, as well as diplomas in Project Management and Business Management.
