Jeremy is the MMV project director for a range of Discovery projects and supports groups across the portfolio with medicinal chemistry input. Jeremy, a medicinal chemist, joined MMV’s Drug Discovery team from AstraZeneca, where he was an Associate Director in both Lead Generation and Lead Optimization Chemistry. He has broad experience in drug discovery, from early target identification to lead optimization, and has led teams of chemists in the optimization of small molecules as future drugs for Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, diabetes and the treatment of pain. Jeremy has worked in the UK and Sweden. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from Oxford University and has published a significant number of scientific papers and patent applications. |
